Abstract

Shift work disrupts circadian alignment and worsens metabolic health. In a crossover trial of night-shift workers with prediabetes, a 10-hour time-restricted eating window aligned to the active period improved sleep efficiency and reduced mean amplitude of glycemic excursions. Feasibility was high with app-based reminders and peer support. Occupational health programs should consider circadian-informed nutrition protocols.
