Abstract

A workplace wellness program combining wrist-worn activity trackers with behavioral nudges increased daily steps and reduced sedentary time among employees with type 2 diabetes. At 12 months, HbA1c improved by 0.5 percentage points and self-reported quality of life increased. Engagement was enhanced by peer challenges and supervisor support. Employers may consider integrating activity nudges within occupational health initiatives.
